I have a punching rod that is pretty tip heavy. My arm gets tired after using it just 10 minutes or so. I keep it in my house and practice with it often to try to get my arm used to it. After getting my DroomVanger rod that is so well balanced, I've seen what I'm missing out on. My punching rod is nice though, and I don't want to get rid of it.
I experimented by taping 2 and 3 tungsted 1oz weights to the butt end. It helps tremendously. I'm looking for a better solution than that.
Each of the weights in this thing is 1.3 oz. Two of those should be just about perfect for the way I want it.
