Jerry Jones cited insufficient evidence in proving who was in possession of the gun and the drugs, thus, he is dropping the charges.

Jones says, "I want to emphasize once again that the main reason I'm doing this is that I refuse to ruin the lives of two young men who have spent their adolescence and teenage years, working and sweating, while we were all in the air conditioning."

It would be interesting to know what the real rea$on$ were !

There were 4 in the car. The cops report listed 2. The search was also illegal. so..........

The search was illegal? 4am, car sitting in vacant lot, subjects mumbling and stammering, smelling of weed. Yeah, that's not probable cause....

I was under the impression that when multiple subjects in a car wth contraban, if it could t be proved or somebody claimed ownership, ALL were charged. Is that not so?

they searched the car because jones had a pistol in his lap, thats not illegal. you know......america....2nd amendment and all :roll:

oh ya and there were "several" discrepancies in the report filed by the cops.

That's usually the case buts it's up to the investigating officer who he charges.
