Take the team names off of your post above for just a second. The statement you just said is exactly what the lower tier teams have been hoping for all these years. A chance to get in there and have a shot of winning the NC when they are not worthy of it. So now you have some teams floating their names around in the top 12 that "think" they will will be in the top 12 come time. And now what you are suggesting is that maybe there will be a...

Roll Back to this thread if you want some receipts. I said it then and Ill repeat it now. There are only about 6 Teams currently playing that are " in the hunt " so to speak and really out of those 6 only 4 of them should be making the cut IMHO. If everyone would be honest about this new 12 team format the 12 teams that are "in the hunt" are not playing "national championship caliber" Football. Be honest when you say those words. You can't. You may get a shot. You may not. But you are NOT playing national championship caliber football.

I hope in two years they fix this mess. Its making College football NOT ELITE. But I suspect the right team (s) will be at the top.

One of these 12 teams will in fact be playing "national championship caliber" football. I know this because one of these 12 teams will be crowned national champion, and therefore will define "national championship caliber" football for this season. I also know it will NOT be alabama. Those are the facts. Your opinions don't change the facts. Watch the playoff. Don't watch the playoff. Nobody cares. America will be watching, and nobody will miss you.

Sure, but the same could be said all across the sporting world in playoffs. Sometimes those "undeserving" teams peaked at the end of the season, sometimes they squeak in by winning their conference championship, sometimes they don't "deserve" to be in the playoffs at all, sometimes they are in a weak conference or play a weak schedule…yet sometimes they win the national/world championship, and THAT is a great thing for sports. Champions of the playoffs are not necessarily a reflection of which team is "the best". I mean, after all, Alabama hasn't won every year, including years when they were ranked number 1. They may have been the best team yet still lost.

Enjoy the games, and stop trying to control who has the opportunity for o win the championship.
 
Look at high school football. I think it's Springfield I saw was 5-5 going in and are now in the semis having beaten 2 teams that beat them in the regular season. All you have to do is get in and then everything in the past is out the window. College is no different. Just a bigger stage. Win and advance or lose and go home.
 
I played competitive sports my whole like. I'd much rather be the team playing with nothing to lose than the team with everything to lose. Just the same as if I'm the top team the ones with nothing to lose scare me more than the number 2 team. When you got nothing to lose you leave it all out there. One of the best things in sports honestly

Yep you are correct . They play undefeated Ravenwood . Not sure why Ravenwood is having to travel there with the records like they are.
