Bammer missing playoffs

The AP and Coaches polls seem to agree. ...followed by Ole Miss, South Carolina and A&M

I assumed DeBoer saying that was a meme somebody made but regardless just a joke. The one thing the pic tells me is Bama ain't getting in. 😂 Heck if the Vols choke Saturday maybe we'll all have a cry party. 😳😆🤣

South Carolina beats Clemson and that may change a little.

Yes, Alabama will not get a boost in schedule strength playing Auburn compared to the boost that USC will get playing Clemson.

A lot of other teams losing is the only thing that could help Bama at this point. There is an easy formula for beating Alabama and when teams have additional time to prepare (e.g. prior to a playoff game), it will be even tougher on Alabama. I typed this before I realized that Vanderbilt had a bye before the Bama game; I knew Oklahoma did. Now I know what the problem was... :)

The committee may see things a little different from the AP and Coaches polls when the CFP rankings come out today; probably not much though.

The counter to bad arguments is always better discussion, not name-calling or elimination of any discussion.
There is no "better discussion" with a troll, and he is 100% troll. He never even posted anywhere but the sports forum until we hammered him with that fact for years. You are only 50% troll. You try to have some discussions, but can't help but troll. The good news is it's harder to troll the home team when they're on and upward trajectory and have won the last 2 out of 3 against your team. I'm sure you'll bring up ancient history for a few more years, but eventually talking about the good old days to people living in the present gets old.

Why stop at 3 years? 😁
I do agree Tennessee seems to be going in the right direction and Alabama has fallen off some but I don't think it's as bad as some do. I hope anyway.
Let me answer that. Because we Vol fans are trying to forget the previous 20 years before that. 🤣

I don't think there's a world where sc gets in over alabama with both having 3 losses. Who knows but the alabama bias is real to a degree.
I would think the same, but was just going off of the graphic that BP posted. Those 3 are tied together in that poll, and SC would get the biggest boost in the rankings by beating Clemson over Bama beating Auburn, I would think anyway. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Funny how that worked this weekend for the vols LOL

Seriously at this point and time IF ALABAMA were to get in they are not playoff worthy and will not have a shot at the National Championship the way they are playing. I can say EXACTLY the same way about the vols regardless of the outcome of Saturdays games. Still with that being said Anchor Down and Roll Tide.

So you're finally saying alabama isn't "Elite".

I have some serious questions about DeBoer going forward for Bama. The man is a good coach and hasn't forgotten how to coach I'm sure but great coaches take the team they have and adapt their system to it. He's not done that effectively at all for Milroe. Also that team seriously is lacking discipline. I don't think his coordinator hires are home runs either. A good coach can coach a long time at most places but bama isn't one of those. They demand a great coach and losing 2-3 on average like most sec schools isn't gonna cut it there.

The truth in the sec this year is out of the top 5-6 teams they are all flawed and there's not a huge difference in any of them. UGA and possibly Texas are slightly ahead but flawed. Next is Tenn,Bama and ole miss followed closely by A&M and sc. Sc may be playing better than anyone other than UGA right now. I don't think we can tell in Texas yet since they have only played one good sec team and they got beat at home by them. UGA or Texas seem to be the only ones playing possible championship level ball. Any of the others could heat up at any time. I think bama is too flawed with no ability to be accurate passing the ball. Tenn has the pieces but is way too inconsistent on throwing the ball and getting dumb penalties. Ole Miss at times can't protect their qb and don't have a really good rb and only one really good wr. Sc is just young and now gelling. A&M have a very young qb who is having growing pains as well and under their first year with their coach.

Look at high school football. I think it's Springfield I saw was 5-5 going in and are now in the semis having beaten 2 teams that beat them in the regular season. All you have to do is get in and then everything in the past is out the window. College is no different. Just a bigger stage. Win and advance or lose and go home.
Remember the 2007 NY Giants?
