Bammer missing playoffs

No kiddos for me. Wife and I couldn't ever have any.

I'm just going to throw this out there. My wife and I were in the same boat. We tried for a couple of years, had the tests, tried in vitro, to no avail. We adopted two girls 3 yrs apart and were very content.

Ten years later you can guess what happened. She is now 21.

That won't happen with us. Wife had to have the surgery a few years ago so no kiddos. We went through adoption classes and home study, etc and tried that route. We had over $10,000 invested into that to get on lists but they kept stringing us along. We weren't even trying for a newborn.

The dog before those 2 was named Bear. Yep. Named after that one. Coyotes got him in the yard and tore him from end to end and killed him. So we got these two as a replacement. Went to Just get one...and the lady had 1 left out of the litter and cut us a deal if we took it. So we did. Rat Terriers are all I've ever had, and all I probably ever will have. I just love their nature.

Man I hate that about the adoption process and the loss of Bear.

Not sure why people are still talking about bama/playoffs. Bad Oklahoma, and Vandy teams have showed the world how to beat bama.

Run the ball stright up the gut 97 times, and play average SEC Defense. While bama counters this mind-blowing strategy with.... running the QB up the gut 97 times and playing average SEC Defense. No one wants to see that.

Because it's just as mathematically possible for a ALABAMA team to back door it's way in with checkerboard math with 4 or 5 teams losing as it was the vols to back door it's way in with 4 or 5 teams losing. That's why they are talking about. Ur mot hearing me talking about it because I'm being real. ALABAMA IF they were to back door their way in at this point does not stand any more chance of withstanding a first round survival than the vols do. And that is the harsh facts.

Anchor Down! Dynamite Dynamite!

Absolutely the truth....other than the Iron Bowl (pride game), I don't care to watch this disappointing Bama team. However, we knew this was coming after Saban retired and so many talented players left the team.

As sports fans have repeated for years, "maybe next year." ;o)

If you truly want to adopt become a foster parent. Don't let them send you kids over 8. Possibly 6 for your sanity. The older they are the more they've seen. The harder they are to "parent" because they have no idea what that is. IMHO.

We tried that way too but during the state PATH class, they told us fostering wasn't a road to adoption. Fostering was about reunification of the kids to their blood family. They pretty much told us if we were looking to adopt, to try different avenues. We finished the PATH class though.

We ran into that when we fostered for a brief time. And then after us specifically requesting to only foster infants, they called and begged us to take two sisters, maybe 6 and 8, for just a couple of days.

The girls were fine, but a couple of days turned into a couple of weeks, and our world suddenly revolved around them. We hated to, but we told them to find someone else. We no longer wanted to foster. After adopting our daughters, especially the first one, and seeing how hard it was for the family that fostered her for 7 weeks to see her go, made us realize just how special good, foster parents are. A true example of selflessness.

We fostered heck I guess for 15 years? Idk. We had several opportunities to adopt and we adopted 4 siblings. I understand what they tell you but it simply isn't the truth. Honestly a lot of what they tell you isn't the truth. We loved it but after adoption we didn't have room in our house to continue. It definitely has its challenges. Like I said if you go that route keep them young. Your life will be easier

I know a guy that he and his wife fostered 3 kids for a while and then adopted them. This was probably 20 years ago.
