Barnett 78404 Jackal...Thoughts???

Just purchased a new Barnett Jackal xbow for my fianc�e. Due to shoulder injury, she can't shoot her new rifle or draw a bow. I've never owned any kind of bow / xbow. Any tips or advice? Alum / Carbon bolts? What type of broadhead for deer hunting. Bow is advertised as 150lb draw weight, 315fps, 95lbs energy. 20" bolts. Thanks for all your help, and for this great community!!

I have a jackal.. had to buy a rope cocker.. to chocolate chip cookie it with.. I shoot rage 3 blade broadheads..really nothing to it.. after the first thumb slap you will remember to keep it down..LOL.. I know!

Good luck to her. A crossbow sure beats not going. I shoot Rage and Grim Reapers but keep a set of Muzzys just in case. Yeah you won't hit that thumb but once.

I was in Academy Sports tonight, and talked to a fellow about Rage broadheads, he said that's all he uses. He recommended watching some youtube videos on them...I'll just say, Pretty Impressive!!
