just a bunch of FYI for anyone looking at this bow

so i decided to upgrade this year and got a deal on a bear assault for really cheap (2010 model)

i was pretty much decided to get the new diamond outlaw or a bowtech but went with the bear due to how much i got it for.

Man what a great shooting bow. Back wall is very solid, let off is great and a very smooth draw cycle. the dual sting suppressers where worn out and 1 call to bear and they put a new pair in the mail for free. Man i have not shot a quieter bow to this point and all i did was add limbsavers to the bow. bow is super fast and flat shooting (20yd pin works for 30yds as well which is a first for me). No torque or hand vibrations and actually very light in the had.

for anyone looking at this bow or looking for a new one i would definitely recommend this bow! to this point i could not be happier

That's great! I just about bought a bear for my first bow a few years ago! I shot the truth 2 last year and it is a sweet bow!

yeah the assault is the new version of the truth 2.
like i said, anyone looking at the assault or the attack you will be getting a really sweet bow especially for the money.

the best part of this is i was shooting an old jennings bow ( nothing wrong with it and was still shooting good) but ended up selling it to a buddy that wanted to get into archery. there was nothing wrong with the thing and it killed quite a few deer for me over the years including a pair of 130ish bucks.

after the first 2 weeks of bow shopping i was questioning why in the world i even sold it....man bows have changed a bunch over the past 6 years!!! then i got this bow and man its like night and day in the shooting compaired to my old one. almost makes me pissed i waited so long to upgrade.

Congrats on the new bow ! Bear archery has been making bows longer than most bow companies nowadays and you can't go wrong with one . They have improved even more than the early compound days .

I have an 08 Truth 2. Every year I plan on upgrading but after handling some new bows I decide to shoot it for another year. Bear has made some very nice bows the last 3-4 years.

I like the looks of bears newest bow, dont recall the name but it has the string suppressors mouted from the riser and iss rated at 345 ibo... i think!!!

the Bear Carnage is what you are thinking about. Great shooting bow but a bit more then i could afford. although i just saw some on archery talk NEW IN THE BOX for $600 which is a dang good deal.

I just traded up to the Bear Carnage and absolutely love it! My first bow was a Diamond Rock and I thought it was amazing until I went to the proshop and shot the Carnage.

Sighting it in was fun!
