That looks amazing. What type grill is that?

its a green mountain grill, I've been looking for a long time at pellet grills. Quickly ruled out Trager, the build quality just isn't there for the price.

I also smoked a venison roast which I didn't take pictures off, turned out amazing! The flavor is out of this world and everything comes out so moist.

My wife found a Traeger at Goodwill for $40. It does cook the best chicken I have had. That's all I have cooked on it so far.

Question about Pellet Grills - do you ALWAYS have smoke/wood flavor or can that be adjusted?

Re: Been practicing on the pellet grill

I have a green mountain but cant get the bark like you have on your butt.
What temp, how long and what type pellets did you use?
Love my grill other than the Bark is just not as heavy as I like.

The wood pellets are providing the heat so you do always have smoke.

Food looks amazing btw!

Nicely done, bet it was excellent. Nice looking smoking rig too.

Recommend you try a spatchcock chicken -- where you split a whole chicken and remove backbone, split the breast keel bone and bird lays flat on the grill. Really gets the smoke and flavors in the whole chicken. My favorite way to do a whole bird.
