My little boy was wanting to go through my dad's turkey calls. We ran across these in the first box we went through. All the box calls are signed on the bottom as well.

Besides calling a lot, I think my style mirrors his.

Be a good woodsman.
Be smart.
Don't spook the turkey.
Stay after them until you kill him, miss him, or when have to go to work or other obligations.

He may have not called a lot in real life, could have been just trying to sell his calls.

loved one of his videos on bowhunting for turkeys. he got the bird to respond, then whispered to the camera where the bird was, where he expected him to approach from, and then knelt down next to a tree & killed the gobbler, drawing his recurve as it walked behind a tree. only turkey video i've seen with a bowhunter and no blind.

My momma grew up with his daughter…they were best friends. Both him and his daughter died the same way. I learned to Turkey call with the cassette tape hunting the same woods around Clarke co, AL that he hunted. My great aunt was one of the 6 ladies that built his Turkey calls. Was able to track down a twin hen box of his.

Scroll thru his stuff. He has a few with a recurve and no blind.
