I shot this black duck on Old Hickory yesterday. I know it's a hen but I think I'm going to mount it since I don't know when/if I'll shoot another one. Does anyone know a good duck taxidermist in middle or east TN? I have not had the best luck in the past and would like to get this one done right. Also, any ideas on the position for the mount?

Let me preface this by saying I'm not a serious duck hunter and go about once a year but did kill one several years ago I wanted to mount. Ended up going with Wild Wings Taxidermy in Spring Hill and was very pleased.

Do you have a picture of the one he did for you? It looks like it's between Wild Wings and Shane Smith from the pictures online.

This. Brian is the best bird taxidermist I've ever seen.

Wild wings and duxrus both do great work. I saw a pintail that a friend had done by duxrus and it was amazing! And that was about 7-8 years ago
Wild Wings Taxidermy is the business name and duxrus is his website. They're one in the same.

I'm a self professed duck taxidermy snob. Ethan Starnes is hands down best in TN. He's in east TN down near Cleveland/athens area.
