Agree, much better then mascots such as .

A talking smiling nut with a hat (Ohio state)
A little green figting midget ( Notre Dame)
A dumb looking red elephant (bama)
How about a ugly Christmas tree (stanford)
Is Oklahoma's mascot a wagon?
A green Donald duck (Oregon)
A orange Donald duck (Miami)
A talking fruit with a hat (Syracuse)
A chicken (South Carolina)
A pig (Arkansas)
A turkeyman creature called a Hokiebird (Virginia tech)
A frog (TCU)

And let's face it Smokey is way better then that ugly Bulldog Georgia or Mississippi St has.

Beevo (sp?) out in Texas is pretty cool. As is the War Eagle in Auburn. I have to say either is better than Smokey, though he is still in the upper tier.
They also have a Buffalo out in Colorado, which is awesome.

Auburn's mascot is officially Aubie the tiger they just scream war eagle as a battle cry or something like that lol

They are 3 Tiger mascots just in the SEC

The Texas longhorn & Colorado Buffalo are pretty cool

What school actually has the Eagle that sits on a pole and flies around before the game? I misremembered and thought it was Auburn.

The Air Force Academy has a falcon that does that; could that be who you're thinking of?
