Let's see some spur pictures. Long thick beards are nice but nothing gets me more excited than rolling a bird over to look at his spurs. I'll take 20 stub bearded birds with 1.5 spurs any day over 100 12 inch bearded birds with 1 inch spurs. I havent broken 1.5 but have hit 1 3/8 several times. Here's a couple:

I have only killed 2 spurred birds so far...

This one is from monday morning. I think they're pretty good but of course my goal now is 1.5"

They are 1 1/8" and 1 3/16" if I am not mistaken

1 1/2 spur & the other was broke. Killed last year in middle TN the morning of the Tn & Al tornadoes (Birmingham). Craziest weather i've ever hunted in, but it sure paid off.

Big Gun asked me to chime in on this one. Haven't posted this one in many years. I remember getting to show this one off at the Vous one year, as I had picked the mount up at the taxidermist on the drive out there.

I can't remember the exact stats, but I believe one was 1 7/8 and the other might have been 1 15/16.

Killed in Carroll County, can't remember the year. Gotta once again thank Monster for helping me get this one.

Best TN spurs I have ever seen. I saw where they were ranked/tied for #4 in NWTF records (length of spurs for TN bird). Pretty darn impressive! Thanks for sharing Big Al.

I think when I actually registered it the bird tied for 1st in typical spur length. Its dropped considerably since then.

I was thinking last time I looked it was still tied for 2nd. Guess I'll go take a peek.
