Just for fun, what is your biggest bass? Largemouth and smallmouth.

Post a pic and what lake it came from and what bait you caught it on.

My biggest largemouth weighed 8lbs 6oz and came from guntersville lake. It was caught on a 3/4 oz magnum shakey head with a zoom green pumpkin magnum trickworm.

My biggest smallmouth came from pickwick lake and it weighed 6lbs 2 oz. I caught it on an Alabama rig.

Biggest Largemouth: 9lbs even, Chickamauga Lake. Alabama Rig (waiting on that 10lb+ lol)
Biggest Smallmouth: 3.5-4lbs, haven't kept up with but caught a few around that on Chickamauga Lake.

First time fishing a 30 acre private lake and on the second cast I caught a 9.5 pound bass. I thought look out I'm going to do great here. Over the next couple of years I caught another 200 bass but nothing over 1.5 pounds. I guess he was the last of the Mohicans.

Biggest Largemouth: 7lb 4oz. Caught flipping on a black and blue jig on Cordell Hull. I am not sure where the picture is for it.

Biggest Smallmouth: Just a little shy of 5.5 lb. Caught on an Alabama rig on Dale Hollow in a tournament. I caught a 6 lb largemouth that day too. It was a good day.

Biggest Spot (KY strain): 4 lb 4 oz. Caught on a live nightcrawler with 4 lb test line on Center Hill. Not sure where the pic is of it. This is the 2nd biggest which was 4 lb caught on Alabama rig. I had a 6 lb largemouth that day too. Those are also Center Hill fish.

The second picture is from Tellico Lake. Crappie fishing, and caught a White Bass, which was taken by the largemouth. He wasn't hooked, but had the white lodged sideways in his mouth. When I got him in and slack got in the line, he just dropped off. The first picture was from Ft. Loudoun while spider rigging for crappie. He tangled eight rods, and it took thirty minutes to get back to fishing!

Biggest Tennessee bass goes 8lb out of the Hatchie River system. Biggest bass that I caught when I lived in Florida was 10.5lbs on a plastic jerk bait. That same spring, I caught 17 over 8lbs but only 2 went over 9lb. I was fishing a small river close to campus and work and would often fish a couple hours in the morning before heading to class to or work. Biggest Smallmouth from Pickwick went 21 inches, not sure on a weight.

Biggest largemouth 9lbs. 4oz. on Barkley Lake. Caught in on a crawfish colored Peewee Wart. Biggest smallmouth probably around 4 lbs.

Biggest largemouth - 7 lb. 6 oz. - Old Hickory (no picture)
Biggest smallmouth - 6 lb. - Old Hickory

This was a good Old Hickory fish. Don't remember the weight.

I caught this one at KY lake in April 2008 on a crankbait. Didn't weight it but I caught one that weighed 4lb4oz, and this one was bigger. I'm guessing 5lbs.

Caught a post spawn largemouth in a pond that was over 24". Didn't have a camera back then. Caught it on a bubble gum pink trick worm on an ultralight with 4 lb test. Don't know how I ever got it to the bank. My buddy had to crawl down the bank to get it. We cleaned it and ate it for supper.

9lb 13oz post spawn on a zebco 33 spincast. Pond was full of 1-2lb bass that would bite every cast with a zoom trick worm. Then big girl hit. Hahaha. Everybody said it'd went 11 or 12lbs if before the spawn.

I've caught several 9 to 9 1/2 pound LM in SC when I lived there. Never broke 10.

Biggest TN LM was 8 lbs 2oz from Douglas on a handmade flatside.
Biggest SM was 6lbs 8oz on a strike king red eye shad. Also on Douglas.
I caught both of those fish in Oct of 2010. No pics of the LM since I was by myself.

Large mouth was i'm guessing 8 lbs. A rig on Priest. Small mouth was 4.25 lbs. 5" Kalins grub on Old Hickory.

Largemouth- 7 lb. 12 oz. Watts Bar on a poes crankbait in August 1995 pics on the wall
Smallmouth- 25 in . weight ? Norris in May 2010 on a Gulp minnow on a jig head (I hope she's still swimming).

Nothing extraordinary. It was out of Barton's Creek on Old Hickory a few years ago. I didn't have scales with me. It was every bit of 5... probably pushing 6.

I've caught a few verified 5 pounders , but not recently.

I hooked a real nice one last fall near on the river just east of 231. It was by far the biggest I've ever hooked. I had no net, and he got off as I was trying to bring him in the boat. I'd bet my left nut it would have went 8, and I'd bet both buts it was 7. That's the way the tales go, right?

Don't post weights because 99% of the times I have in the past somebody always has to point out that there is no way it weighed that much.
Guess my scales are always off.

Here are a few though.

This one came from Gibson County Lake. My son caught it.
Cool story. A rather large fish rolled near the bank and my son was going to try and throw a fluke to it even though it was 20 feet too far from the boat to cast to.
He leaned wayyyy back and threw with every bit of strength he had in his body and when he went forward with the cast the fluke was hung in some buck brush behind him. You can only imagine the birds nest.
I spent about 30 minutes talking to him about how he shouldn't get so mad and let something like that end up ruining his day and the whole time I was cutting the mess out. We re-spooled his reel and he tied his fluke back on.
The very first cast after all that he caught this one.

This one came from the Carroll County 1,000 Acre Recreational Lake last year.
Caught it on a pumpkinseed whacky worm.
Heck of a fight for sure.

That's all I have on this computer.

9.8 lbs. I'm almost positive this fish was 10+.(and would have been much heavier if it weren't so skinny) My scales are lite vs tournament scales but I couldn't find anyone else with scales before she started looking sickly in the livewell so I let her go. Black and blue jig on KY lake.
I can't catch small mouth to save my life. Biggest was around 4 lbs on a swim bait on KY lake.

24" out of a farm pound,no idea on weight but it was after the spawn.retrieved a jitterbug out of pond off a snag the week before and that's what I caught it on :super:

Biggest largemouth I had weighed was 6lb 12oz. Caught it at 4-H camp on a spring lizard when I was a kid. Biggest smallmouth was bumping 28 inches and full of eggs. Caught her on a creek minnow when I was about 16. Estimated 8-9 lbs. Caught in in the Wolf River arm of Dale Hollow. Six -seven pounders were common and nine pounders were not out of the ordinary back then. My Dad fileted it.
