Binoculars

In the east tn woods the Kowa 6x30 is my go to.
These are on my short list. It's either them or the Maven. Probably a little too pricy if someone is trying not to break the bank. For that I would recommend the Cabelas brand or Vortex. The Intensity HD are an incredible value. The difference between the Diamondback and the Diamondback HD is quite noticeable. The Intensity HD is right there with them. I see there is a Gen 2 version of the Intensity and I cannot comment on them as they were not out when I bought 2 Intensity HD models. Stay away from anything cheaper unless you absolutely have to. I did a lot of research and vied everything available and there are better in the price range up to $350 but for $150 for the Cabelas you are darn close to the same performance. The Leupold BX2 are very nice but we're not in stock when I purchased or I might have went that way. For glassing fields I'd go with 10x. I think 10x is a big mistake in the timber though. 8x is better there. Stay with 42mm objective and you will have very good last light resolution.

I looked up some older post on binoculars just yesterday. Watched a few YouTube videos as well. I always seem to have the same problem when researching something. It's hard to justify spending money on what I really want but feel like I am short changing myself if I go to cheap. So I do nothing. I have a small pair I have had for 30 years. Probably a 6 x 25 or so small compact. Works good for the woods in good light but low light it is tougher . So following this post.

I see a lot of posts and reviews with the comment (customer service is great) how many folks talk to the manufactures unless they are having problems? I don't think I have ever but I'm just a poor man and maybe others call up and listen to the sales pitch so they feel good about the $$ they are going to spend lol. I have bought 2 scopes with lifetime warranty's, both failed and the lifetime warranty don't work when the company is no longer selling them, I am setting on a Nikon with a defunked warranty, can't bring myself to throw it away but its a paper weight.
