Seen several this week mixed in with mallards in ETN the past 4-5 days.

We got to the top of the duck hunting mountain yesterday…. a banded black duck!
And on top of that we got a black/mallard hybrid!!!
And on top of that we got a black/mallard hybrid!!!

That hybrid yesterday sorta looks like he's got a green mullet!!!
Me and my dad got a black duck at arkabutla long time ago when the lake was frozen solid. Hunting dry corn fields . It was like dove hunting . Used the head lights to lay the decoys out

We shot one yesterday but when it fell on the ice a bald eagle swooped down before we could even get in the boat....lost quite a few. Pitiful at one time we had 13 around the blind. We stopped shooting unless it was right in front
