Yesterday afternoon
Headed out 3pm to the back by the creek bottoms. Went to my Six Shooter blind which is in my Buzzard Roost food plot/ orchard. Set up just watching, like to let things settle. 20 minutes past about ready to start my caller. See a Bobcat come out of the woods 150 yards away and runs across far end of food plot and goes into the tall grass in the orchard. Didn't have my gun up but he ran flat out. Grabbed remote and turned volume way down. Started cottontail distress. Less than 10 seconds he comes out of the grass and runs across back to the shooting strip and sits down. He's looking up the strip at my decoy. Got the gun on him he's 120 yards. Curious what he's gonna do I'm just watching through the scope. He crotched down and starts stalking towards the caller and decoy which is 40 yards from me. Comes up 50 yards and sits down. Couldn't take it anymore so 70 yard shot. Dead center in the chest he drops right there. From when I first saw him to the shot was like two minutes or less. Very fast exciting hunt on a beautiful, snow on the ground, cold day. This is a male cat and weighed 20lbs 4oz.
