Boots?

I wish rocky still made boots like they did 12years ago. [/quote]

I have a pair of Rocky's I bought at least 15 years ago. The only time they ever come out is to go turkey hunting. Best boot's I have ever owned, probably wouldnt buy a pair today though. So as sad as it makes me, I am sure in the next year or two I will be looking for a new pair.
I do have a pair of Muck boots I raelly like for deer hunting. But I would not want to log the miles in them like I do chasing birds.

I am looking for some new hunting boots and wanted some suggestions. I am looking for light weight waterproof muck style boots. Thanks

Muck Fieldblazers would be a good boot for turkey hunting or early deer season.... :)

I wear some nike, altama exospeed, or danner combat boots for turkey hunting. Very lightweight, tennis shoe bottom design. Great for doing the 800 meter turkey dash very quickly lol I just cant get up these mountains quick enough in my mucks.

Holler at gatornbuck for the mucks.

I made a funny. :D

yep hes got mucks. and vols fans get 10% off
Even then he's still too high. :D j/k gator as I have no idea what they cost through you. I bought a set of Woody Max about 2 years ago in Dayton, TN for just under $100 out the door.

Anyway, for turkeys I used to use Rocky snake boots but they're just not as comfortable and started leaking some so I bought a pair of Lacrosse Alpha Burly Sports and love them.

I know several UT fans that will testify that I gave them the best price they could find.... I have never seen a pair of Muck Woody Max for a $100.00 and I have checked all over. These boots retail at Bass Pro for $149.99 and Gander for $169.99 plus tax....

It was a feed store right on Hwy 27 that I have no clue what the name was. Another guy that had a feed store off the beaten path actually had the better deal but didn't have my size so he wrote it down on a piece of paper and told me to take it to them to match and they did. Like I said tax and all it was under $100 and this was probably 2 or 3 years ago.

EDIT: I just googled it and based on the map looks like it's called Bart's Feed & Seed. Call them and see if they still carry them and what the price is these days.(423-775-2370).

Did a little follow-up on the Muck Boots.... Called Bart's Feed & Seed and they didn't carry them but he thought the Tractor Supply place across the street had them....

Called the Tractor Supply place and they do carry some Muck Boots but the don't carry the Woody Max or Elites.....

Nope wasn't TSC. It was a local feed place and I'm almost certain based on the map it was Bart's. Either way I can promise you that's what I paid. At the time they were in the $120-130 range at most places and my buddy told me to wait until I came up there to hunt because of the price difference.

Alright Gator-n-Buck, since you seem to not believe me I did a little police work too. Emailed my buddy who lives there and he sent me the 2 names and #'s so I called both and here's what I found.

-Penine Farm Supply (423-365-4625) - $124.99 Muck Wood Max
-L & J (423-365-4931) - $111.95 Muck Woody Max

I don't remember which one I got mine from several years ago although I believe it was Penine Farm after going to L & J where the owner gave me a ticket with his price of $90-something bucks because he was out. Give 'em a call and find out for yourself. ;) You may have a good price too but is it that good?

Yeap.... We beat both of those..... :) I never said I didn't believe you, I just have never personally seen Muck Woody Max under a $100.00. I'm sure anything is possible or someone could have a special. I put it this way, If someone it selling them out the door under a $100.00, then they won't be in business long...

Those two prices above out the door are approx. $121.00 and $136.00. When you need a new pair, I know who your best bet it.... ;)

Dang gator...that was 3 weeks ago and we covered all that offline. It's good that you've got the best prices now. :D I told you I'd call next time I needed some as you've definitely got the best prices I've seen recently. Matter of fact I'll probably be looking into some for my some come fall. It's all good. ;)
