Bottomland or obsession

I like to mix and match too.

How many times have you had turkeys walk by unalarmed, while wearing a fluorescent orange vest & cap?
Often they notice, but do not spook.

I have for sure, more than once. Last deer season had 3 longbeards about 15 yards in front of me giving me that curious look. I was filming them and one might have caught some movement and started putting a little. But they never ran off, just turned and walked back the way they came.

I've never had turkeys within shotgun range that didn't get spooky when wearing orange.

I've had it several years ago from a treestand as well. That was a group of 5 within 30 yards and they didn't care much at all. Now when I'm in camo bowhunting from a tree, they always see me and get spooky

Big difference in turkeys coming by while you are deer hunting and when you are actively calling. Turkeys looking for that "hen" are on red alert and looking for anything out of place. Also, spring and breeding should make them more wary as their breeding instincts are in full control.

Bottomland is a little too dark for where I hunt. Realtree AP is my favorite.

I like to mix and match too. Bottomland pants and obsession top would be my choice.

I wear a lot of the old school mossy oak patterns(Bottomland, Full Foliage, Treestand, Greenleaf, Forest Floor, and Shadowleaf). Lot of my stuff is old, but well kept. I have also scooped up a lot from ebay over the years. I mix and match as season progresses as well. I like to disappear as much as possible. Along with choosing a good background, those older patterns help me do just that. As for those who say turkeys are not able to "pick out" objects that are out of the ordinary, they usually are not hunting well educated, hard pressured Gobblers Picking a good background when setting up, along with blending in and being still, will help you kill more turkeys.

Those patterns are great the Fall Foliage pants with a Bottomland top or green leaf top make you vanish if you're still.
Really wish Mossy Oak would bring them all back for good.
I just have obsession now but it's normally to green for my liking for half of the season.

Good deal. I almost bought a pair of bibs in the Greenleaf on that sight yesterday, but came to the conclusion that the pair I have in Shadowleaf are still very huntable. The Gamekeeper line on that sight had a pair of bibs in Original Bottomland that I might look into for deer season. Little heavier in that duck material. They would be nice in cooler weather. Bit pricey though.

Not sure about him, but I love Realtree AP. I've had the best luck with this camo in my surroundings.

I'm a Bottomland fan for early season and switch to Obsession after the green-up but unless we experience several March freezes the spring green-up will be here before opening day.
