Its a 2010 PSE Axe 6 . I never thought I would own a speed bow with a short brace height , but this bow shoots well . I put a B stinger, Trophy Ridge Pursuit single pin slider sight , Ripcord rest on it . The bow was tuned recently by Mike Carter ( Crackers ) who has a shop about an hour away from my place here in KC .

i looked at that exact sight today, my only question is how bright it would be and its a .29 pin, have you any concerns with those two things? ive got to decide between that and a hha pretty soon

Mine is a .019 , with a removable rheostat light . I paid $79 for it here at Rogers Sporting Goods .

Nice bow.
I love the rheostat lights.
One of the best additions to my rig in recent years.

I passed up a trade with the bow I was selling for a Mathews DXT . The bow just didn't feel right for me , so I sold my bow to the guy instead of trading . I ended up buying the PSE Axe 6 in person , so it was nice to be able to see each bow and draw it back before buying .
Much better than buying a bow on AT .

Looks like a speed bow, acts like a speed bow, must be a speed bow. I remember last year Radar you blasting me for buying my Monster MR6. My MR6 turns out to be the best bow I've owned yet and it is a shooter. Guess the shoe is on the other foot. Not sure "why" you bought another bow but congrats.

I had serious reservations about buying a bow with a 6" brace as I stated in my post . But I got some great advice from a fellow tndeer member who shoots PSE prior to my purchase . I got the bow for $350 and had a chance to try it out before buying , so it wasn't a blind purchase . I thought I got a good deal on a bow that was tuned by crackers . My decision wasn't based on speed , I wanted another PSE in my collection . I now have 3 PSE bows in my collection .

Ive been hunting with an 09 Axe 6 for 3 years. It is awesome. Ive shot the Omen, Omen Pro, Evo and Evo Dreamseason...I like the Axe 6 over all of them on draw cycle. Could be bc mine is 60#. Either way it will pack them in there is super quiet and from my experience fairly forgiving expecially for the brace height.

Radar, I know you can tune a bow...what do people like this crackers fellow do that makes it better.

I keep getting tempted by a single pin site but just can't get off my multi pins.

I asked the guy what crackers did when he tuned it and he said he played with the cam timing a lot . The timing marks are right on the money, so I'm not sure he did anything different than what I would have done . He is only an hour away , so I might stop in there sometime and chat with him .
I'm very impressed with the draw cycle with the axe .

my string hasn't shifted one iota since I got the bow 3 years ago. It was a demo bow that I talked a rep into parting with so it had already stretched I guess. It is directly on the marks and the draw cycle is my favorite I've ever had.

The stock PSE strings (Americas Best) are quite stable, with very little creep . I have a Pro Line string for it too.

I have been using AB strings for a couple years now and they are good strings. I love the new two cam bows I have shoot a few evos.Am shootin a Monster Mr7 and I have to say its a good shooting bow am only shooting 60 pounds and get more speed out of it then my older bows set on 70. With the speed bows dropping to 60 pounds makes the draw cycle so much easy Ive shot an evo on 60lbs and it was sweet.

Good looking bow Scott. I haven't bought a new bow in awhile, been about 6 months now. I have looked around and shot some. My next new bow will be a PSE Dominator Pro.

My other two PSE bows are 2008's , so I was due for a newer model bow . I still want to add the Vendetta to my collection of PSE's .

I had an Axe 6 for a short while last year. 60 lb max and boy that thing was quick!Didnt like the 6" brace height. Still have my old General?
