Bow in the Garage

do you carry it in the woods with you? Assuming yes is the answer. then no the cold temps won't bother it. But it is a mathews. LOL sorry but you are part of that family now. Just kidding. I would worry more about heat than I would cold.

For the 18 years I lived with my parents, my dad always kept his bows in the garage. He did not ever heat or cool the garage either. I think you will be fine.

Thanks....I posted this same question on Archery Talk and it has turned into a big joke fest cause I told everyone my wife wouldn't let me hang it in the house. Everybody is saying put the wife in the garage and the bow in the house lol!

Archery Talk can be a big joke fest, but then again so can TN Deer. Just look at the guys that busted your stones for getting a Z7.

Your bow should be fine in the garage. Just keep the string waxed. I know you hunt the early season. The garage is still cooler then outsides. If your garage get's hotter then outside bring you bow inside.

Yep...I'm sure if we have a heat wave like we did in August 2007 the bow will come inside.

I'd keep it inside in the heat of the summer . The constant heat in an enclosed garage will allow the string to creep .

How come your wife doesn't want you to put your bow in the house? I don't get it. It might not hurt it putting it in the garage, but why risk it with such a big investment. Can you just slide it under the bed or something?

Well...here it is. If I put in under the bed my 3 year old will get to it.

There is no way I'd hang it in the garage. Bowtechs are made to hang in the garage. Nice looking rig I was considering one but I guess I'll shoot my HCA Iron Mace one more year. My youngest said she wants a Bear Apprentice.

I wouldn't keep it in the garage. Put it in a case under the bed. If your worried about your child getting into it put a lock on the case.

My main concern is putting a bow in an airtight case for extended preiods of time. If I did that to my rifles, well you know what happens.

I'm not sure what case you have. I know mine isn't air tight. That's is the way I have kept mine for years and never had a problem.

They also make bow racks that you can hang on the wall. They look pretty nice from what I have seen. I just wouldn't want it out there in the heat of the summer. Nice Deer BTW.
