Holy cow, the Vols are actually ranked! Wrangler will be ecstatic. :lol:

ND is the 2nd highest ranked 2-loss team at #8. The only higher ranked 2-loss team is Stanford at #7.

ND is better than 13 out of 14 SEC teams! :super:

8-4 USC ranked #20, but 8-4 Vols ranked #25. Navy ranked #23. Looks like 8-4 USC is better than Navy, but Navy is better than the 8-4 Vols. :rotf:

Vols have taken some lumps and I feel like they are very fortunate to be back in the top 25.



ND on the other hand is still at #8 and WILL NOT be in the playoff :tu:
 
Picture this scenario...

Bammer gets spanked in the opening round of the playoff and ND wins their bowl game. When the final rankings come out ND could be better than the entire SEC! :tu:

Picture this. If Alabama does get spanked in the first round and ND does manage to win their bowl you know what that means?


That means that Alabama was actually in the playoff and Notre Dame WAS NOT. :rotf:

Still a faint glimmer of hope. Okie is in. B1G champ is in. No way UF beats the Bammers. If NC beats Clemson, then OSU is in. NC at 10 isn't getting in. Would probably also need USC to beat Stanford because I think they would jump over OSU as a conf champion even with two losses. Faintest of glimmers. Darn Michigan punter. If he had just handled that snap. Oh, and fire Tim Beck.

Most likely, it's the Rose Bowl against Stanford or USC or the Fiesta against Notre Dame.

Maybe so, but one thing most don't realize is that Clemson had 15 days to prepare for ND while ND only had 6 days to prepare for Clemson. And, despite having 9 extra days to prepare, Clemson barely won the game at home at night in a monsoon against a QB making his 3rd ever start. So, it's pretty clear that ND is better than Clemson.

I'm not suggesting that ND should be in, but I am suggesting, and hoping, that Bammer may be overrated.
 
UNC will jump to 4 if they win, and they deserve to do so!

BTW, the Vols will be ahead of the Gators in the final rankings ;) :D !

Jeff Long disagrees. NC isn't getting in. Stanford might jump, Buckeye Nation are Tar Heel fans Saturday. Go Heels!!!!

If you have had Clemson #1 most of the year and NC beats Clemson to win the conference how do you not put them in with one loss? I guess you (the committee) have to just admit Clemson wasn't as good as you thought. Either way Sanford and OSU have NO shot.
