Wanted to go wireless and decided to give Browning a try since I've been running their regular cams for a few years. Couldn't find much info so figured this might help somebody else looking at them. So far I love it. Start and stop service as I need it. Make camera adjustments on app on my phone. Pics sent within a minute of being taken. Like all the others it sends a compressed pic. Not alot of detail to be seen but good enough for what I want. A few pics that's been sent to my phone.

Love the jumping pic!

Serious question and not being a rear end.

Can you see them better on your phone better than how they post here? I'm pretty sure I can make out a rack on most of them deer but honestly unsure because is super blurry if I try to zoom in on my phone. I've noticed this with several people when they post them.

You mentioned they send a compressed pic so I assume that you see what I see?

That's the compressed pic sent to my phone. I think with my plan I can download 50 regular pics full size. Of course regular pics are on the card.

Our regular Browning cams work well, for the most part too. How much was this one?

ONLY IF browning would adopt the Cuddeback link system, would I be super excited. No cell service, but sends pics to a home camera (from up to 15 other satellite cameras). I think why other companies haven't jumped on this is due to a patent

$300 for this one. You can add additional cameras to one plan.

Thanks for the review.. I was thinking about the browning but ultimately went with a Spartan 4G wireless due to a lot of good reviews and rave. Would like to see more on the Browning as people use it since its new. Keep us updated

They send a lower resolution thumbnail but most cameras give you the option to request an HD image if you see something of interest you want a better look at. The HD image just takes up a lot of your data plan if you send many. The regular high def image will be on the SD card in the camera when you want to retrieve them

Smoke? Did you say you could put more cameras on the same Cellular Service? If so how much is the service? Where find info?

Added a second camera after seeing how much I liked the first. Everything still running good. Caught my first mink on camera.

Some different visitors today. Nice knowing what's coming through without having to go check.

First camera made it about 4 1/2 months on batteries. No idea how many pics. Still happy with the brownings.

Did the battery meter give you any warning whatsoever before the batteries failed?

Some of the newer cams are now saying their battery meters work with lithium batteries.

Also, you said you had that cam's flash set for "long range".
What were your other settings?

P.S. I am also testing a couple of this same model.

#1 was placed in mid-December.
Settings have been
Image Quality: Ultra (Maximum Resolution)
Flash: Middle Setting (Blur Reduction)
Trigger Speed: Normal
No. of Pics per event: 3
Interval Between: 1 minute
Uploads: By schedule, 6 times daily
Cell signal at location: 3 bars

Averaging about 20 pics daily.

This one is still working as advertised, no problems,
so over 3 months now on same batteries.

The other one I'm testing was placed mid-January in a location of very poor cell service.
Despite the poor cell service of 0 to 1 bar, it usually uploads every triggering event within seconds.
So I'm super pleased that it's working so well at this location.

Settings for Browning Cell Cam #2:

Image Quality: Ultra (Maximum Resolution)
Flash: Middle Setting (Blur Reduction)
Trigger Speed: Fast
No. of Pics per event: 4
Interval Between: 1 minute
Uploads: Immediately
Cell signal at location: 0 to 1 bar

Averaging about 30 pics daily.

#2 is also working as advertised, no problems.
However, I just put in fresh batteries this week because was afraid they were about spent.
Don't know how much longer it would have gone, but went over 2 months with those settings, and still going strong.
For those unfamiliar with battery drain, these settings on #2 likely were draining the batteries about twice as fast as
the setting on my #1.

I plan to just let #1 go until the batteries die, as it is much more convenient for me to quickly service.

Can't say I have any complaints, and both units so far have worked as advertised, maybe even better than expected.

I "wish" these units had a smaller footprint, and longer battery life,
but considering everything else, not complaining about this.

Above said, a couple things I'd like to see Browning offer as add-on options:

1) Extra battery trays.

I like to have extra battery trays pre-loaded, so you just pull out the old, and slam in the new.
"Done" in 2 seconds.
Otherwise, you're at the cam site fumbling around trying to get the old batteries out of the tray, then fumbling around trying to get the new ones loaded.
The batteries are a tight fit, which is good, just takes more time to deal with exchanges.

Have a pre-loaded battery tray is especially good when you're servicing a cam in the rain!

So for the similar reason we need 2 SD cards per cam,
I like 2 battery trays per cam.

2) A booster antennae.

This should extend battery life and allow the cam to upload better in areas of marginal cell service.

Didn't get pics for day or two and checked settings and saw they were dead. I wasn't checking battery status much.
Picture quality set for low.
Number pics per event I've changed around several times. Started off on 3 with 5 second delay while I thought deer were rutting but cut it back to 1 pic per event and 1 minute delay later as they were staying in plots alot burning up my pics
Trigger speed normal.
Mine has 3 bars at each site although one spot I had it set up just had one but still worked fine.
Have mine set to send pics immediately.
When I first added second camera I hit my 1200 pic limit so I went to 2400 and have only hit it once.

If I'm thinking correctly, having the pics sent immediately is the biggest battery drainer,
if you're averaging more than 6 or 8 triggering events daily.

It's cool to get them immediately, and sometimes the best option for the application.
