great pics
It would not surprise me if most all of them survived the season Wes. None have been brought in on Ames and the club that joins us in this area hardly ever shoots a buck < 120". I have additional pics of some of those bucks through mid December, albeit, some of the racks were broke up/off and body weights were starting to fall off. Below is another buck at the same scrape.Wes Parrish said:Any known survivors?
It is very possible you did. With that said, Ames has numerous tree orchards that all resemble in one way, shape or form.BigAl said:I think I scouted that area when I was out at Ames.
True. I won't post where I think it was.Andy S. said:It is very possible you did. With that said, Ames has numerous tree orchards that all resemble in one way, shape or form.BigAl said:I think I scouted that area when I was out at Ames.
No skin off my back. I ran a camera there all year but only hunted the area a few mornings during first MZer. There is too much acreage at Ames for me to hunt many areas more than a few times.BigAl said:I won't post where I think it was.
I wish. I killed three does with my bow early on and that was it. I hunted a lot but you could not tell it by my harvest results. I may have let a tall narrow buck walk Dec. 18 that was a shooter. I am not 100% it was the buck I got on camera, but I am pretty sure it was. If so, he will gross around 130" as an 8 point. He was in some thick stuff at 85 yards slowly moving away from me and he never really gave me a good look. If I would have been hunting public ground, the outcome may have been different.look'n 4 deer said:
Did you kill a big one again this year Andy?
