Didn't have a clue it was a high fence. He left that part out of the story. If you knew he shot a high fence buck why did you post it as any other?
HOLY MOLY!!!!!!Friend of mine went to Western Kentucky close to where the devasting tornado came through. He shot this one 3 days ago. That's his 3rd Boone and Crockett buck.

Totally agree. The guy is pushing 80 and he usually kills at least 1 good buck a year up in Hancock County.sorry but high fence hunting aint hunting its shooting if you got enough money to buy the animal. he should go to a pasture and shoot him a bull and take a pic with it
Agree. They are basically livestock in a cage- a 300" one would mean absolutely nothing to meIf it floats his boat more power too him. Not my cup of tea.
It would mean a lot to me. It would mean I was rich!!Agree. They are basically livestock in a cage- a 300" one would mean absolutely nothing to me
Or it means you're sneakyIt would mean a lot to me. It would mean I was rich!!
If you want to kill a big hog I got the place for you. Go down to Fort Benning, Ga. I go down once or twice a year with a couple guys and we usually kill about 10 to 15 a day.I been wanting to shoot a good hog to mount for a few years now and thought seriously about going to the Crossville area but can't bring myself to do that I know there up in the occee area just hard to get on think I'll just wait and go to bama sometime to a wma before I'll chase em into a fence
Not putting down any harvested deer, but I've worked in high-fences, and the deer are VERY different. Worked in an 1,800 acre high-fence here in TN and I couldn't believe how little caution older bucks displayed. Drove up on my ATV to withing 30 yards of 3 1/2 year-old bucks feeding in a big food plot. I stopped and turned off the engine, and the bucks just looked at me and went back to feeding. I wouldn't call them "wild deer" by any means. When somebody says "high fence" deer, I wonder how much property it's on. If a deer lives on a tract of land of several hundred acres or more, it's a wild deer. I wouldn't call it a "canned hunt".
Lol. Good pointIt would mean a lot to me. It would mean I was rich!!
All depends on the terrain, set up of food, and use of cameras IMO. If you high fence 300 acres and put a 20 acre bean plot in the middle it's not too terribly different than using feeders. Add in 15 cell cameras monitoring every second of deer mvmt and it's like shooting fish in a barrel I would imagine. When somebody says "high fence" deer, I wonder how much property it's on.
