For those that are interested in building a home brew camera
We at Outdoor Talk forums are planning a build along,Hopefully it will be you tubed,so you will not miss a thing.
I would like to join in but i am afraid I am not that far along
Some of the well Known builders will be contributing to this build, hopefuly Fireman Jim will help out,Buckshot, Black Hills Dave.. KDornski..and the infamous Bowgod, some neat stuff will come out of this build, not realy decided what kind of build we want to do,these guys are so far advanced it is hard for me to comprehend, but one thing is for sure it is going to happen . And I know a lot of people have been interested in this hobby,I got started and cannot get enough of it.Maybe some of the Vendors will have an Idea. This will be big and if you like Trailcams at their finest ,Just tune in.
I will update this post in the future the time and Format will be posted, the way i understand it ,you can join in get what you need in advance and build together,if you have a problem, you will have the best in the business at your disposal. They are super good guys that love to help a guy out.
Even the Vendors like Gary at SSS and Dave at BF outdoors are very accommadating people ,they will help you any way they can.
If you order something you do not need they will tell you, they will not take your money and let you figure out what you are going to do.
Be talking to you in the near future ;)

I think we are just going to do it day by day at our own homes,I think everyone will start with AIO boards, some things are being tossed around but I think in the end we will build a Mid range in difficulty with no Slave,I think with the new software the slave is being done away with. Why put 5 more pounds on your cam when you do not need it?
The sony PMB would be just one of many out there.
But if you are looking for a place to go the guys are having a camfest up in Wisconsin somewhere in about a month or so.

The homebrew crowd is probably the most helpful bunch Ive been around. Ive literally spent 45 minutes on the phone with people I dont even know, while they explain how to do things. And things are advancing right along. Im sure readily available, easy to do black flash will be soon, and time lapse boards are now here. Im addicted.

A drive to Wisconsin, or even the one buckshot164 in PA is doing is out of the question for me. Be nice to see a meet n greet put together in Tennessee. Do some build alongs, help others get into the hobby.
