Cactus buck?

Sometimes, very cold temps will freeze the velvet and kill the growing antlers, requiring them to start over again. If he was carrying the same antlers his whole life, they would be a heck of a lot bigger/crazier than his current set. I suspect that for whatever reason, he sheds them annually.
