A friend of mine use to buy gray long sleeve work shirts and pants then use a black magic marker to make his own treebark camo clothes.

In my opinion, your outline busts you more than anything.

My daughter and I built a turkey blind a few years ago.

Put great cover between us and the birds, but when I got 50 yds out and looked back, she stood out like a sore thumb- even in a leafy suit.

I took out quite a bit of material from the front and added a ton in the back to break up outline and it made a huge difference.

Bottomland is my favorite, I wear Sitka subalpine for deer and turkey, and timber for waterfowl. But bottomland is by far my favorite!

My favorite hunting outer shirt is a black and orange plaid berber fleece lined flannel, ive probably killed a 100 deer in that shirt

ASAT is still the all-around best IMO, but here lately, I've been on a simple earth tone clothing kick, and maybe an old school duck camo shirt or hoodie. Simple is good.

I'm also a big fan of the original Trebark camo. Best bark camo ever I believe.

I like what ever I get on sale cheap in Jan , I also think that a good leafy wear suit does help . I guess I got more browns than any thing. It's easier to beat there eyes than their noses.

Duck hunting, Original MO bottomland, MO Treebark…always had the best luck both turkey and deer with Realtree advantage.

Try taking a picture of camo you like. Turn the picture to a black and white picture. It is very revealing about what a deer sees. You would be surprised at what you think blends in can stick out like a sore thumb. Good luck.

Better yet, take a picture and then use a photo editor to remove (or at least seriously tone down) the reds. THAT is how a deer sees. And you can tun up the shortest wavelengths, such as the blue/violent end of the spectrum.

I really like it. From ground level looking into the trees, it does a great job of breaking up outline.

On the ground, I've had friends walk over top of me as I sat on the side of a ridge.

Dark geen or dark grey wool pants and a green/black, red/black wool checked shirt with a medium grey wool vest. Partridge plaid wool hat.

Kill deer, boar, and bear. Movement is what matters most with surrounding cover a close second. Camo clothing is trendy but matters not. No game animal wears camo patterns that match what the corporations peddle.
