Just wanted everyone's opinion on this. Some people seem to think it doesn't really matter and others want you to believe your synthetic might as well be orange.

What do you guys think? I am buying a pump soon and pretty torn on what to buy.

it dont matter man! it is nice to look at thought. Maybe in the right light black can be picked out easier if you move but overall if you are still it dont think he will ever know the difference.

I buy mine in camo but thats just me, i prefer the look of it.

I think the black gun look good. but I honestly don't think it matters much. I have camo in my guns. but my next gun both rifle and shot gun will be black.

mine is black. I put no-mar camo tape on it in the spring of 2011. Killed my 1st turkey then. But since then, I have not bothered with the tape. If the gun is pointed at the bird it's not going to have much profile from their point of view, and they probably won't see it. If it's not pointed at them, you're going to have to move it and if they see movement, they will see movement whether in camo or black. Just my thought. I don't think it matters. Especially since I killed 3 in the fall of 2011, 4 in the spring of 2012, and 6 in the fall of 2012 with no camo on the gun.

My turkey gun is synthetic. and has a scope. No problems with being busted by birds. I have hunted with old school wood finished guns, no problems.
