Looking at a.555 constriction choke for my Mossberg 500 20ga.Anyone shooting one of these?Do you think this choke may be to tight for 9 shot?

on a 555 you are going to end up with 2 possible results. It will be either a very tight core or it will blow out the pattern. So if you are looking for a 40yd + tighter pattern than its a good option.

Carlson 575 has been the sweet spot for me with a Mossberg 500, I have patterned two of them. The 575 is just a good even pattern for hunting ,in my opinion. Some guys do like them tighter but I like some leeway in my pattern.

I liked the .575 in my 500.

This was 40 yards…I don't remember the pellet count but it was pretty high.

Good luck. I've found the .565 to .570 range to be a sweet spot. Hunted with a .568 last season.

seems really tight for me. my stoeger with .562 was like throwing a softball at the target. went to a .575 and love it
