Carson and Josh, both 13 years old, were headed to Florida from Toronto, Canada with their Moms for Spring Break. But they wanted to hang out in Chattanooga a couple of days on the way. The boys love to fish so the Moms tracked me down to take them on a "Chattanooga Fishing Adventure."
Saturday's weather was lousy, but they had rainsuits ready. Besides, when they left Canada early Friday morning they said the temperature was -2, so 55 degrees was balmy, even if it was raining. We could have crappie fished, but I felt like the boys from Canada REALLY needed a taste of Tennessee River catfishing.
The Good News - We started off like gangbusters. Three fish on in the first 30 minutes. Woohoo!
The Bad News - We fished four more hours and only caught three more fish.
It was kind of a bummer that the action came early and then went downhill... but it could have been worse (i.e. no action). So I think their Chattanooga Adventure worked out OK. Here's a little video evidence: https://youtu.be/W04vSy-1pto
That means life is good and gettin' better every day!
