. . . . . ridgetecs . . . . . I made a spreadsheet to calculate the cost to use them and they blow spypoint away after a short amount of time.
The subscription cost is where spypoint screws you.

The monthly/annual subscription cost is the most overlooked aspect of most cell cam buyers at their point of purchase!

Generally speaking, the cheaper the cam (at the point of purchase), the more it costs per uploaded pic and monthly/annual cell service ONGOING.

After only a year or two of use, the cheaper cams can end up costing you more than a much higher quality, reliable cell cam.

What's more, the higher quality cams consistently get pics the cheaper ones consistently fail, while the users never know what they've missed.

The Ridgetecs are a very feature rich cell cam which imo are 2nd only to Reconyx in reliability and functionality.

After only a year or two of use...............

For 85% of my cellular cams, it takes THREE years of calendar time to equate to ONE year of use (and payment for cellular service), due to me only using them 4-5 months of the year.

I met the guy that owns Ridgetec last month. He basically said that most of the cameras used low grade parts throughout the unit, so he had one built with quality parts to last and perform.

I don't think he had an idea how same camera compares today with the newer ones coming out. At least that was the impression that I got.

Yep, that is Anthony. I was avid reader/participant on CG for numerous years, but have slacked over the last few.

He referred to someone from tndeer/tn and ask me if I knew him. I told him that LBL man should be added to his pro staff because he sings the praises of the camera daily!
