I hate to lose him but it is what it is- TV & FA objectively had to move him to the pen. His stuff was junk as a starter. I'd love to have him back and honestly I'd make the case for him as a reliever/close, but let him choose to start the year. give him Friday night if he wanted it.
To his credit, he buckled down and gave us some of the absolute best moments this season in his new role & he could have jumped ship earlier than he did. So, Much as it sucks I appreciate what he did and wish him luck.
Unless we have to play him, then I hope we chase him out of the first inning!

Tennessee picked up transfers Dalton Bargo from Mizzou and Billy Amick from Clemson.
Bargo can catch or play the corner positions in the infield or outfield. He hit .279 with 5 hr's and 23 rbi's as a freshman.
Amick, a sophomore All-American, hit .418 with 12 hr's, 58 rbi's while looking to move back to his natural position at 3rd after playing mostly at 1st this year for Clemson.

That will be a nice replacement for Zane Denton! Denton was listed as a senior this year so I'm assuming he's out of eligibility.
He became one of my favorites. When a clutch "at bat" was needed, he often came through
Mine too! One reason I liked him is he didn't look like a "ball player". He looked like he should be on the chess team. But man can he play.

This has been crazy. The early rumors were that he was going to LSU. Then, the talk was that Vitello had proof of LSU talking with him outside of portal protocol. Remember TV being accused of tampering at the first of the season with Ahuna, and that LSU was one of the culprits for turning him in?
Supposedly, LSU got cold feet because they knew TV would bust them so they backed off.
Then, there were several other rumored teams, and even the possibility that he might actually return.
Oh well, wish him well and thank him for the post season run.
