Check this ear out

I've never seen this before. Was it caused by old fighting injuries? All are healed , no blood, sores, etc.

It's crazy you posted that. I have pics of a buck that I looked at closer yesterday and saw the same thing with his left ear.

I can only assume a fight, but who knows.

Out of curiosity, how many points did that rack have?

I tend to think this was caused by an attack from a bobcat or maybe a coyote.

The width of the tears line up about right with the width of a critters K-9's.
Almost like they grabbed the buck's ear, and he ripped it free.
