Are they still making h4895 powder? Or what powder is the same as h4895

IMR4895 and there might be another 4895 powder by another company. 4064 has a similar burn rate, at least I think.

I haven't seen any in a long time. I've got about 3/4 pound left, and I use it in several cartridges. Wish I'd have grabbed an eight pounder a few years ago.

Try AA2495. It's available, and very similar. I've worked up several good loads as replacements for H4895.

IMR 8208 is also very close. N135 in a 6 BR Ackley, can be better than the H4895. Seen that first hand.

I've never been able to duplicate performance of H4895 by using imr4895.
There are 2 powders that come as close to duplicating as anything I've seen. That is N530 and imr8208xbr.

I use imr4895 for 308 and 223, very close in my books to h4895.

It has been available at times, just isn't cheap. I've stocked up on it because it is so versatile
