Anyone been out on Cherokee, looking for crappie/bass/catfish (not area specific, general area would be nice) how has the bite been. Taking my 19yr old nephew tomorrow putting in around Fall Creek Marina. Any advice would be appreciated.

The Holston River around Knoxville is as muddy as I have ever seen it. It was very clear last week before the storms. May be fine up that far. I would head on upriver toward Rogersville if I were going for crappie or walleye.

They drained the lake back down to winter pool just about. Crappie or any spawning fish will not be there right now. I was there on Friday and couldn't believe how low they took it. 2 weeks ago it was up nicely. They gotta be raising it now. But if they don't leave it be and let it raise up the spawn will be none.

Man you aint kidding lake was low, that plus the wind after about 11 and trolling motor foot pedal not working made it a hard day of fishing. Fish very scattered and no real schools where we were Lake temps 54*-57* water clarity normal not dingy/muddy/stained.
