Headed up to camp and fish next weekend around Tellico plains. Anyone got any tips on where to start up there for trout ?this will be my first time ever up there.

A little ways passed the north river there is a long parking lot on right. Just up river from it a hundred yards or so is a deep hole. Best spot on the river IMO. Have to be there early for that spot. But that whole stretch above that parling lot is pretty good. Orange powerbait is the ticket. Took me a lot of trial and error to figure it out up there but its apparently no secret lol. Good luck!
 
it all depends on what part of the river they stock that week. if you are there on Saturday morning, take a rock to stand on because somebody will be standing on the others. i have done pretty good right behind green cove store. the smallies are there but more predominant downstream around the tellico beach area.
speaking of tellico beach, great eats.
