Chicken On The New Barbie

My longtime grill died last year. So I went and got a new one over the weekend. I did my famous chicken to break it in. This has a smoke box that did a fair job. I usually do chicken on the smoker, this will be learning experience.

I put my old grills ice box (left side) on the new grill instead of the simple flat shelf that came with it.

Nice, looks good...we bought a small cast iron wood chip box that we use in our grill to add some smoke flavor.

I was thinking about a pellet grill alot last year. I like my old wood offset box for my industrial smoking needs. They are a little more work, but that's half the fun. And I am cheap, I didn't want to come off the money for a pellet grill.

I had a little open metal box that I used on my old one. It did not do to well. I think preheating the grill will be better on this new box. It is the length of the burners and in between two of them.
