What turkey choke would you suggest for my 870? I used the factory turkey choke last yr but figured an aftermarket might be a little better. Any suggestions?

The Indian Creek and Heavy 13 #7 is what my buddy uses. It puts 200+ pellets in 10" circle. Smoked every bird he has ever taken a shot on. Jelly Head is good too, and a bit cheaper.

I have an 870 express magnum running 3 inch #5 LB with .665 Indian Creek. Indian Creek suggested using LB #4 or #5, or using Hevi 5 or 6. I opted for LB

In this order IMO rhino, jebs, jellyhead,or hevi shot jebs and rhino have gotten extremely close IMO but just a good choke for a good price it is very hard to be a jelly head.

The best choke I ever saw in a 870 is the Remington extra full that is almost diamond cut on the end. That thing is a turkey stomping so of a gun!!

Thanks for all the info guys. I'll be shooting 3.5's and i have #4 shot right now. Last year i got into turkey hunting and look forward to it again so i'm very new at it all.

I may have a couple different ones if you wanna try them before you buy ? I know I have a SSX in one of my 870's. Also have different ammo your welcome to try instead of buying a whole box :)
Let me know before the weekend as I will be in town Friday night.
Side note, you can go to Final Flight and use the range and try out different chokes that they carry and just have to buy the shell and target.
IMO I would change your choice of shot size, the SSX with 3 inch #7's in mine throws a pretty dang good pattern. Shoot me a text if I can help.

I'd look for a .670 constriction for that setup. I know Kick's Industries makes one because that is all I once shot and it was a very solid combination. Click on link below to see the Gobblin' Thunder chokes and their constriction recommendations based on length of shell and shot size. Good luck with your choice.
