Cincinnati or Oklahoma?

There is who Vegas thinks has the best chance to make it into the playoff:
1. Georgia (-125)
2. Alabama (+300)
3. Ohio St (+500)
4. Oklahoma (+1400)

First out
Oregon (+1600)
Second out
Michigan (+2800)
Third out
Cincinnati (+6600)
Fourth Out
Michigan St. (+15000)

Again, if Bama loses the SEC champ game they will be on the outside looking in.

Now, if it's a close game, then maybe but there will be too much anti-sec backlash imo.

I've said it before, can't imagine how Cincinnati is ranked as high as it is. Just can't.

😄

If neither the SEC nor the Big Ten finishes with two one-loss teams or Oregon loses again and Cincinnati runs the table, then — hurrah! — the Bearcats could get in. Unless the committee decides it prefers a two-loss Alabama team that pushed Georgia for the SEC title. Or some other form of mental gymnastics.

Do you think there is any measurable difference in the competition among conferences? I don't think the AAC is anywhere close to the SEC or the Big 10, or even the ACC etc...
Don't include the ACC in there with the SEC and Big Ten. The ACC has been a one team conference in football since FSU joined back in the 1990s and was solely a basketball conference before that. When Miami was great, it was an independent or in the old Big East and has sucked since 2002. FSU ruled for a couple decades and then Clemson went on a great run the last six years until now.

Cincy won't play anyone the rest of the way in conference, but the same should be said for Oklahoma and Oregon. Oh yes, Baylor and Okie State. Who have either of those teams played? The Big 12 is bad too, and neither Baylor nor Okie State scheduled any P5 teams OOC. Nadda, zilch, zero. Cincy should be given some credit for scheduling ND and Indiana and they handled business. At least Oklahoma scheduled one P5 OOC, Nebraska which is much better than its record indicates (how does a team outscore its opponents in the aggregate and yet is 3-7?) But Cincy still scheduled two P5 OOC to OU's one. Every season, OU rolls through the Big 12 and then gets dominated in the playoff.

Not saying Cincy should or deserves to get in if it runs the table, and I don't think it will. Heck with how the Committee only values one head-to-head match-up this season, I won't be surprised if ND jumps Cincy at some point. But I think Cincy might get in if there is chaos. And if Bama and Ohio State don't get their run games figured out, there very well could be a lot of chaos.

Alabama controls their standings by defeating Georgia, will it happen, its according to with team nick brings to the game. The only hope for cincy is a loss by Alabama and still dont know if that'll be enough.

I'd like to see Cincinnati in the playoffs. I'm not saying I think they're one of the 4 best teams in the country, but I would like to see what they do given the chance to prove themselves.
