There are trade offs with every stand you use. I was always faster getting up a tree with a climber but I've never felt safer than in my saddle. Also the type of trees I can get up in with a saddle increases my opportunities based on wind and terrain features. I strictly bow hunt anymore and the right tree matters for the best shot.
