How close to your turkey ground for some double dipping?

My turkey ground is in Lexington, Tennessee so a long way. There is a ton of government land around the lake, but I'm sure it gets hammered since MS opens so early.

Thought you had some private ground in n MS too…I have hunted the corps land around the lake.

You are correct. My main turkey property that I lease is in Lexington TN, but I have permission to hunt some land in MS. Unfortunately the closest being 1.5 hours from my new place.

Mine too! It's hard to find something close to the interstate on the north side of the lake.

Awesome and congratulations! My uncle that passed away two years ago had a camp and cabin very near the lake just south west of Abbeville. I bet he had that place 40 years. Don't know what has become of it now. Hope you get as much joy from yours as he did from his.

I primarily fish Sardis Lake, but it's a 1.5 hour drive from my house. I've been looking for a fish camp there for a while and I found one recently and closed today. It's a half-acre lot with a 24 wide x 32 deep metal shop with a wall down the middle. One 12' wide side is boat parking. The other side has a 12x12 bathroom and a 20 x 12 bedroom. Outside it has a 10x16 workshop/ storage building, a nice fish cleaning station, and 2 complete rv hookups on gravel with electric, water, and sewer. The seller has until next Friday to be out so I'll be moving some stuff in next weekend. It's 5 minutes off the interstate and 7 minutes to the closest boat ramp. I can't wait to start fishing out of my own place.

I have been looking myself. Found my dream deal, 6 wooded acres, 30x40 wired shop, and comfortable living quarters. It was still posted for sale, but had been under contract 3 weeks. Bummer...
