I am looking for a good day this week to take off from work and do some turkey hunting. My question is how will the major cold front this week affect the turkeys? We were able to go Saturday but the birds didn't want to say much until late in the morning so I'm curious if this front will help or hurt. Thanks in advance for the help.

I would welcome it with open arms. If I didn't work, I'd hunt every day from tomorrow through Sunday. If I only had one morning I could go, it would be Wed-Fri once the atmosphere stabilizes and things have settled down and normalized. Lows around 50 and highs around 70 this time of year are killer as I often have some of my best gobbling mornings when it is cool out, especially on up in the morning. Good luck!

I have had poor gobbling on the colder days this year. But I have one unfilled tag and limited free time in the next 2 weeks, so I'll be chasing em hard whenever I can.

This has been the only year where the gobbling hasn't been better on the colder mornings in all my years of turkey hunting. Hoping that changes Thursday morning!

Wind might be the only problem, other then that it should be good. Of course good is relative this year in this state.
