Season has started. Alexis Deboer (Kalen Deboer daughter) hit a homer against The Tide but Alabama came back and got the win. They have 2 wins vs Washington but trail Arizona now.

A few on here watch. A lot of games sell out.
That's pretty neat she hit one against the school where her dad's the football coach. Wonder who he was cheering for?

I watch all I can and baseball too. Softball at that level is pretty good. Going to be real interesting this year with the additions of OK and TEX to SEC.
Shhh, don't ruin it for him.
If OK rolls through the SEC and wins another WCWS, it will be quite a feat.
TN lost their first game bad, but bounced back. We will probably go to a few games this spring.
I watch it and like it better than football. Pretty college gals are more appealing to me than dudes 
I want to go to all the SEC fields and watch a game. I'm gonna try to go to a few games this spring myself. Thinking of going to one of the Vols vs Auburn games. I'd like to go to one of the Bama vs Oklahoma games too but that's probably not in the cards this year.

Good softball is so much better than baseball at any level. It's just such a faster, quicker game.
Softball has gotten so much better since the girls have been taught how to throw properly, like a boy and not like a girl, and properly swing a bat instead of sending 8 stupid slap hitters and 1 300 pound tank to hit bombs or strikeout to the plate.

Of course, I also coach High School Softball.
A few years back LSU softball was must see tv until the NCAA banned props in the dugouts. It was hilarious some of their masks and hats and such
I have always wondered that about any girls sport. I watched my daughters basketball games, but man it was hard to watch girl play sports for me. Softball would be the worst. My niece played college softball and we went to one game…..it was rough. My son plays high school ball and we go out to eat during girls game and try to get back at tip off of the boys…

I've been to games all over the country since the mid '80's (I can't count the times I've been to CA, CO, OK and so many others) and the softball I've seen, there have been none that "throw like a girl" at the top levels.
In my opinion, good slappers vs good defenses is hard to beat. Their speed and talent to place the ball puts so much pressure on the defense and makes for a lot of excitement.

The rule needed to be changed though. There was way too many clearly stepping outside the box and even on home plate while making contact. The problem I have with the rule is the inconsistency between umpires.

D1 college softball is very exciting. Those are elite female athletes.
They are definitely more athletic than basketball players.
