Looking to do a float on the Collins. Is it doable with a 14' John boat? Anybody got any recommendations/suggestions?

14' jon boat might be a bit much depending on which section you try. Is it a bare boat/trolling motor or do you have an outboard?
I have a buddy who fishes it for musky in there out of a small jon boat. Not sure how it is powered though.
Have a small outboard on it, but could take it off and use just trolling motor
I've heard that. Hoping for smallies. Just looking for another small stream to try

Grew up fishing Collins from one end to the other. Trout on upper & anything that would bite on lower. All I had back then was a 14' job boat with 1.5 Johnson with exposed flywheel
Put in and take out spots? Could a person put in on the lower, motor up then float back down??
