I don't post a lot in other boards on here but I do lurk a lot. In all the other boards members help each other when in need. Whether that's donating money, giving advice or in many different ways. It may be as simple as praying for someone or their family. It's like we're neighbors.
Maybe more of us could stop trolling and treat The Sports Forum like a community.
 
I hunt and fish with guys on tndeer. Some of my best friends I met here. I donate to every cause and help people as much as possible. It's a wonderful community. There's a few trolls that ruin it for the sports forum. I should be better than them and use the ignore function, but instead I let them drag me down to their level. Maybe I'll turn over a new leaf for the new year.
 
Some of my best friends are huge bammers and are great folks . We don't even rib each other much at all. Both are from there and had multiple children graduate from the university. They both even say their fans are a whole next level .

I have a good friend that is a lifelong Bama fan, and we get along quite swimmingly. He is completely unreasonable in his fandom of Alabama though, and it is really confusing to see. I certainly know it's not just Bama fans that can be like that, but it's just weird that the team with the most championships in history has fans that like that.

Of course, I'm a Purdue fan, so I don't have much to say! 😂
 
I went to Penn State so i still follow them and would prefer they win to lose. That being said, in the list of things that's important to me or what brings joy in my life, they, or any other sports team for that matter is in the bottom 5%. Really good wool socks and a good seasoning on a cast iron skillet are much higher up the list :)

It isn't banter. It's trolling. You are the only one that enjoys it. You may not have any hate to anyone here but the feeling isn't mutual. I hope your Christmas is just as miserable as your existence on this board.
 
Sorry Bamamonts, but this POS does nothing positive for tndeer and his whole existence is to piss people off. Then he has the nerve to call it banter and wish us a Merry Christmas. If you want the sports forum to be a community, get rid of the idiot ruining the neighborhood.
 
I do agree this site has a community feel and a lot of good folks on here.

I have no dog in the fight on "the troll" but I will say this site would be better off minus that one member. Always childish post that over a long period of time bring some of the good members down. Eventually a cancer will spread and infect the heathy part of the body.

That being said I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas and gets to spend quality time with loved ones!

Agree wholeheartedly! Good natured ribbing is one thing and I expect it when the Vols lose but when every post is trolling and being an absolute prick then I've got no time for you. I've met a bunch of folks from here and am certain I could sit around a campfire having a cold beverage or three with them and some I have. Others I might feel the urge to push in the fire. 🙃😆😇
