Confused on this deer what say you

I'm going with a fallow deer, that identifies as a whitetail. You can't disagree or else you're a deer-racist.

Sika Deer.

That was my first thought. Would like to see a better pic of the antlers. The top part is kind of cut off.

Lived in Maryland a few years and have killed Sika and Fallow deer. I'm leaning Sika.

Back in the 1960s and '70s a private zoo near Jackson had several of both species get loose after the owner died. I wrote an article featuring a Memphis hunter back in the mid-1980s for Tennessee Sportsman. He had a couple of Fallow deer mounted that he killed somewhere between Jackson and Humboldt. He had a Sika rack from that area, too.

That's not really hunting. I have been there also.

There's a guy around Hartsville that has both Sitka and Fallow. The area hunters kill them frequently. Drove by there last Wednesday and one of the females was across the road on a neighbor.

Yep. They constanly escape his place.

A guy near Chickasaw St park has multiple exotic species. Not sure about Sika, but he has fallow, elk, sheep, rams, buffalo, etc. But its on the West end of the state.
