My buddy Calvin Dykes finished second by 1 point in the known 50 class this weekend . After a rough saturday , he set his sight incorrectly (set it on 44 instead of 49 ) and shot a five . And then 2 kick outs of the 12 for 8's . All while dealing with some serious dehydration . He still shot 7 up on the first half . Second day he went out and put on a show for everyone who was on the pro range . He shot 28 up hitting 15 12's and one 8 . He left it all on the table and it couldn't have happened to a better guy . That's two Pro Am's in a row being on the podium in a class with alot of pro's .

You would never know how well he shot talking to him , he is a very humble guy . If it were me I'd be doing backflips . Most of the ride home was spent with him helping me with my issues I had this weekend , never talking about what he just did unless I brought it up . He was very disappointed he lost by one point , but everyone saw what he shot and I'm proud of him .

Those kickouts are killer. I despise pin nocks...I'm betting that's probably what he hit to kick him out. They cost me 12 points in KY, on what otherwise, would have been three 10s and one 12. Yeah I'm still aggravated over that lol I wouldn't have won or even podium finished, but would have had a top 10.

Your buddy coming back with FIFTEEN 12s is pretty spectacular. I would have liked to watched that show...would have been something else to see. I love those GAME ON days :)

Now that I've shot some 3D I appreciate how awesome shooting that many 12s must be. I have a hard time seeing the 12 ring and then you have to judge the yardage. How did he shoot that may 12s? Magic?

He was in the known 50 class . Known yardage out to 50 . They shoot the same ranges as open pro .
