But I'm 98% positive this a Coosa bass. And if it is, it's the biggest one I've ever seen! Not my catch so the pic is all I have to go on. Caught in a creek where Coosa's are the predominant bass species.

Never even heard the name till now. Looked it up though and not sure I see the whitish color on the edges of his fins like I see in the pics. If it is indeed a coosa, then I'd say it is a true trophy

Coosa's start looking a lot like spots when they get large but after studying the pic (after I posted of course) the tail isn't right for a Coosa. Therefore, I agree. Y'all carry on... :tu:

doesnt look like the haw extends to the back of the eye, so id say its a spotted bass.

I've got nothing. Sent the pic to a buddy Who is a fisheries biologist and that's what he said. lol

We catch those in the Emory and I always thought they were smallmouth spotted bass hybrids

Looks like a spot to me. Coosa looks more like a smallmouth than that. And yes that would possibly be a record coosa if it was one.
