Cumberland River Stripes

I was wanting to take my wife up there to give her a shot a a big stripe, we fish Pickwick a lot but it's rare to catch one over 15 pounds there, in the 17 years I've been fishing for them I've only caught 2 over 15 and the were 16 and 17 pounds.

I've never fished the Cumberland, can anybody point me in the right direction as far as where I should put in or what to use. Also when would be the best time to try . Thanks in advance.

What area is 231, I'm not familiar at all with the area or the river

231 goes north out of Lebanon, where it crosses the Cumberland there is a boat ramp. If you go up river it takes you to hartsville and Carthage. Hopefully someone will give some fishing tips, I would also be interested.
