Well I braved the seed ticks with the help of my lint roller and checked my new Moultrie D55Ir for the first time.It had been out 4 weeks and took a little over 200 pics and still had 92% battery life left, which I was really happy with.My D55 white flash was going through a set of batteries every 4 weeks. So I got to save about $8 on batteries.Im thrilled with the day time pics, they are super clear, but i am just a little worried with the whole IR flash scareing the deer away.Seems like I as getting more pics with my white flash model, but who knows,it might just be this awful heat we have been having.maybe they aren't moving as much. Time will tell..

I use the same cameras. My white flash models battery llife last forever seems like. Put fresh ones in once a year and they take a lot of pics. I like the Ir I have too. Just like color nite time photos better though. The Ir takes to many infared pics during the day and the deer spook on it sometimes.

Thats what I said...The white flash model only lasted 4 weeks..And this IR model has been out 4 weeks and still had 92% battery life..Maybe I worded it wrong.

Glad you like it! Im running two sets of batteries a year on mine but that's with it being out 12 months too. Plan on getting another just like it before long.
